Hey! I’m Arnav, a senior at Lynbrook High School and one of your 2021-2022 Co-Presidents! I have been competing in Speech and Debate since 9th grade, where I have made some of my best memories. Hey! I’m Riya, a senior at Lynbrook High School and one of your 2021-2022 Co-Presidents. I have been a part of speech and debate since my freshman year and have tremendously enjoyed creating connections and friendships with fellow competitors. Outside of the club, I enjoy advocating for climate change, watching Netflix, and spending time with my little brother.
Arushi Gupta

Hi! I'm Arushi, a junior and your Vice President this year! I absolutely love Speech and Debate, and it has been a major part of my life for the past 4 years (since 7th grade). I not only enjoy the public speaking aspect of it, but also being able to make so many new friends. Outside of Speech and Debate, I enjoy leadership, entrepreneurship, and spending time with my family and friends :) I hope we will have a chance to connect during this upcoming year!

Hey! I’m Akul, and I am a Junior who will be serving as this year’s Head Captain of Speech. I have been part of the speech and debate community since 8th grade, participating in everything from Public Forum debate to Spontaneous speech events. Lynbrook Speech and Debate has made me a more confident speaker, educated me about a myriad of socio-political topics, and has allowed me to make strong friendships that I’ll never forget. In my free time, I love playing tennis with the school team and with friends and watching movies. I look forward to a fun and successful year with all of you!
Vaibhav Rangan

Hey everyone! My name's Vaibhav and I'm a junior serving as Head of Debate for the 2021-22 school year! I've competed in Public Forum and I've been debating since 6th grade. I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience in speech and debate for all the memories I've made at tournaments and practices, real-life skills and knowledge that I've gained through the activity, and most importantly, the people I've been introduced to. Outside of debate, I love watching sports, reading (books and the news), and spending time with my dog. I'm excited to meet everyone and I hope we have a great year!
Allison Hsu

I am a rising junior at Lynbrook and I have been competing in LD debate since my freshman year. To me, speech and debate has been an opportunity to put the world under a critical lens and develop a better understanding of different political theories, moral philosophies, and key global issues. My top three recommendations include grimdark fantasy novel The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang, crime drama Peaky Blinders on Netflix, and the song Where’s My Love by SYML. On a typical day, I can be found with my head buried in a novel, playing the guitar, or getting walked by my dog, Ranger.
